A note for supporters that Cray Wanderers will be joining the official social media boycott this weekend. The boycott starts from 3pm on Friday 30th April and goes through to 11:59pm on Monday 3rd May.

This is to pressure social media companies like Twitter, Instagram and Facebook after many high profile footballing and sporting figures have received appalling online abuse which causes distress, damages the game, & the very concept of what social media and positive interaction is all about. This has been posted on the Isthmian League website and supported by not only the Premier League, EFL and the National League system but also by Kick It Out, League Managers Association, Football Supporters Association, the Barclays and FA Women’s Leagues, and Professional Game Managers Association. Also Premiership Rugby Union and County Cricket clubs are supporting the social media boycott.
So from 3pm on Friday up to the end of the day on Monday 3rd May we will not be posting anything on the official Twitter and Instagram pages. We do not have an official Facebook page but have The Cray Massive supporters group. I personally will not be contributing to the page for the weekend as a club official.
