Kent FA Plate QF – Hollands & Blair Women vs Cray Wanderers Women – Sunday 16th February, 4.30 pm

Cray Wanderers Women aim to reach the Semi-Finals of the Kent FA Women’s Plate for the second time in successive seasons this afternoon as Dean Jarman’s side travel to Gillingham to face Hollands & Blair Women at Star Meadow.

The Wands emerged through two rounds defeating London Road 2-0 in November and last month were given a tough workout by lower league opposition in Larkfield with Cray winning 3-2 with goals from Annemarie Blanche, Okasia Brown and Jess Pooley.  Cray come into the match in decent form in 4th place on 24 points, thirteen points behind leaders Sevenoaks Town but Cray do have four games in hand on ‘Noaks and the teams meet at Greatness Park on 2nd March.  Last time out Cray won 2-1 at London Road with goals from in form Millie Main and Olivia Gregory.

Hollands & Blair are having an excellent season in the SECWFL Division One East are 2nd in the table two points behind unbeaten Park Regis but have played two games more.

The Gillingham based club have advanced past two rounds also winning 4-3 at Sheppey United in the 1st Round and then 7-0 at home to Ide Hill in January.

This promises to be a tough game as games against Hollands & Blair sides are usually physical challenges but Cray usually go toe to toe with anyone.  The match will go to extra time and penalties with no replay in the competition,

The other ties in this round are

Maidstone United vs Faversham Strike Force

Margate v Tonbridge Angels

Park Regis FC v Sellindge Ladies
