Congratulations to the Cray Wanderers U8s Panthers who won the Selkent Vase on Sunday at the London Marathon Ground in Shooters Hill (pictured).
The young Wands had a great day and won the trophy after a 0-0 draw with Hayden Youth and a 5-0 win vs Russelers FC and a wonderful occasion for all the players and we hope they enjoyed the day and most of all had fun.
Cray Wanderers had four mini football teams playing in Cup Finals on Sunday. The U8s Sharks who came 2nd in their competition and the U7s Sharks and Tigers (pictured) who finished 3rd but for these young players to reach the finals day through many rounds is an amazing achievement and we hope the players, coaches and families enjoyed the day and proud of all our teams who played and with such good sportsmanship.
Also the Cray Wanderers U14s are Selkent U14 Navy Champions after beating nearest contenders Erith Town on Sunday so well done to the team on their consistency over the season. The U15s Sharks also lead the U15s Selkent League level on points with Lewisham Borough but Cray have a game in hand with two matches to play to Lewisham’s one so plenty at stake.
