All at Cray Wanderers wish Nazir Bakrin all the best and say thank him for his time with the Wands as his extended loan spell from Charlton Athletic has come to an end. Naz made quite an impact in central defence and made his debut at Lewes in late January making 10 appearances scoring twice and made his final appearance against Kingstonian on Saturday. Naz now returns to Charlton to continue his development and we wish him well and are sure we will hear more about him in the years to come.
Also against Kingstonian there was a debut for midfielder Jedd Smith who came to Cray from Sevenoaks Town just before the transfer deadline last week. Jedd came through the Dartford Academy alongside Cameron Brodie and has played for East Grinstead Town, Leatherhead and Sittingbourne before joining Sevenoaks earlier this season. I thought he was having a good debut when he picked up a knock and had to go off with an injury.
Tom Bolarinwa who many Cray fans remember with affection from his brief spell with the Wands in the 2014-15 season and his searing pace and goal at Harlow which helped keep Cray in the Isthmian North came on a substitute in the Kingstonian game. Tom went to Sutton United and had great success there before having a couple of seasons in the Football League with Grimsby Town. He returned to Sutton for a couple more spells and later played for Lewes, Ashford United and most recently South Park.
Max Huxter signed as a back-up keeper and was an unused substitute last Saturday. Max made a couple of loan appearances during the 2015-16 and 2016-17 season on loan from Bromley where he has spent much of his career and more recently at Burgess Hill, Hendon, Cheshunt and Sevenoaks Town.
Just before the deadline, Jacob Munting departed the Wands to join Walton Casuals. Jacob made 11 appearances for Cray scoring once and came on as substitute in Casuals game at Hartley Wintney on Saturday. We wish Jacob all the best at Walton Casuals.
Please see here a piece about Cray Wanderers from the Sun website which ties in with Marc Guehi’s England debut on Saturday and his emergence through the Wands youth system. Also the Cray Massive get a mention in the national press so fame at long last. The interview was conducted by Tom Barclay with Cray Wanderers CEO Sam Wright.

Also tying in with the above Marc Guehi and his first England cap and the 1268th player to represent his country and the first to come through the Cray Wanderers Youth setup. Marc played the full 90 minutes of Saturday’s 2-1 friendly victory against Switzerland and was an unused substitute for the game against Cote d’Ivoire, the country of his birth on Tuesday night..
