Cray Wanderers Live Events – The Brockalites – Friday 6th December, 2024
A note for all Cray Wanderers supporters of an incredible live music event at Flamingo Park on Friday 6th December helping to bring the first week of December to an end as we host the Brockalites. Doors open at 7 pm with the band expected on stage at 8.30 pm
The Brockalites hail from Brockley in South London fronted by Bertie Stein and have garnered a growing reputation for their energetic live performances and have performed in front of a Wands audience before ahead of the pre-season friendly with SE Dons on 6th July this year.
There is something very special about the sounds of Ska/Reggae and Rocksteady music which originated from Jamaica in the last 1950’s and perfected by the likes of Lord Tanamo, Prince Buster, The Maytals, The Pioneers, The Skatalites, Harry J Allstars, the Ethiopians and Desmond Dekker. This led to an exciting but shortlived revival in the late 1970’s out of the West Midlands via the Two-Tone label bands like the Specials, The Beat and the Selector and Londoners, Madness and Bad Manners and the Brockalites set gives you a bit of everything.

2025 is going to be a great year for live events at Flamingo Park with the return of Abba Revival as well as Badness, Young Elton, Bowiesque and Oasiz all booked but get in the mood with the Brockalites to end 2024.
