Following Monday’s exciting 2-2 draw with Dartford at Flamingo Park the presentation took place for the Cray Wanderers 2024-25 End of Season Awards.

Six awards were presented by Gary Hillman and Michael Paye with the Golden Boot (currently held by Nyren Clunis with one game to go) to be presented after the match with Lewes on Saturday.

Cray Wanderers Player’s Player of the Year –  Darion Dowrich

Perhaps the most valuable of all the awards and Darion who has had an incredible debut season for the Wands received the accolade from his fellow team-mates and presented by captain Tom Bonner

Cray Wanderers Management Player of the Year – Remi Sutton

As presented by Tim O’Shea and the whole of the management team, Remi Sutton was announced as the Management Player of the Year and another great addition to the team this season.

Cray Wanderers – Supporters Player of the Year – Shaun Rowley

Shaun becomes one of just a select few who have won more than one Player of the Year award after scooping the 2022-23 award. Shaun had to hold off a late burst of votes for Tom Bonner who came second just ahead of Darion Dowrich & Frankie Raymond in joint third.

Cray Wanderers Young Player of the Year – Darion Dowrich

Another award and deserving for Darion Dowrich who was virtually an ever-present and never ever let the side down.

Cray Wanderers Supporters of the Year –  The Cray Massive

An relatively new award in recent seasons but with the influx of new supporters added to the enthusiasm and loyalty of those that had followed us for years, this award was dedicated to the incredible support from everyone this season and the trophy can take pride of place in the new Supporters Club Display Cabinet.  The award was collected on behalf of the Cray Massive by Paul Godfrey

The Cray Massive Special Achievement Award – Claire Jones

Usually this award was for the Club Person of the Year but in a break in tradition the award dedicated from the Cray Massive went to Youth Secretary and regular watcher of the Wands home and away, Claire Jones who does a remarkable job juggling our 44 youth teams on a Sunday and still finding time to watch the first team with her family.

Congratulations to all our winners in a very tough season for choices.
