Congratulations to Marc Guehi who gave an outstanding performance for England in the Three Lions’ 1-0 win vs Serbia in Gelsenkirchen on Sunday evening.
Marc who played for the Wands as young player coming through between 2007-09 becomes the first ex-Wand to represent England in a major tournament finals and made his 12th appearance for his country. The general media reception afterwards indicated Marc was one of if not the man of the match for his composed display.
Marc was coached at Cray by Steve Owen and went on to the Chelsea Academy in 2009 and broke into the team in 2019 and later went on loan to Swansea City and then on to current club Crystal Palace where he is club captain.
