Cray Wanderers Weekend – 7th – 9th March
The Wands Weekend promises to be a special one with three home games for the U23s and men and women’s team at home and the U18s KYL team have another cup semi-final in the quest for a treble.
The U23s start things off on Friday 7th March in a change of home opponents and now take on Rusthall U23s with a 7.45 pm ko.
Cray are 2nd in the SECWFL Development League West a point behind leaders Erith Town who have a game in hand and meet the Wands at Erith on 20th March. Rusthall are 10th on 13 points.

If you don’t fancy the football then upstairs Peps Quiz & Games Evening takes place from 6.30 pm for 7.15 start. Tickets only £6. Food is available with funds going to Charlton Toy Library. See number on the poster for details.
On Saturday 8th March the first team host Canvey Island FC for the first time in the Isthmian Premier. Kick off 3 pm. Cray are 9th and look to bounce back from the unlucky loss at Chichester City against a Canvey side who are 18th in the table and require points to move up the table.
We will be paying our respects to the one and only Peter Jackson but will be a jolly rather than sombre occasion. The players will be wearing black armbands and there will be a minute applause before the match and in the 71st minute. More details on the day on this.

On Sunday 9th March, the U18s KYL team play a second Cup semi final of the season in the KYL League Cup and visit Metrogas U18s – 10 am ko. Address – Univ of Greenwich (Avery Hill Campus), London SE9 2UG. Nick Desanges’ side are on the verge of a possible treble, topping the KYL Premier and in the Final of the Kent County Cup on 30th March. Coverage here on Sunday.
Then later in the afternoon at 4.30, the Wands Women vye for 2nd place in the league with the title won by Sevenoaks Town as Maidstone United are the visitors with Cray looking for a league double over the Stones with Cray 2-1 winners back in September. Maidstone are 2nd on 32 points five ahead of Cray who have games in hand and also visit Tonbridge on 23rd March.
